AUTUMN UPDATE
The team at Mainly Tramping has had a crazy summer of heat, hills and events. A Mainly Tramping team was entered into the Challenge Wanaka half Ironman with Kay swimming and Steve doing the bike and run sections, finishing in just over 6 hours.
Aaron has had so many trips that it is impossible to mention them all but have a look at his Facebook profile for his superb photos. He and Oli also climbed Earnslaw together in February. Steve climbed Sabre via the North Buttress, showing that even old codgers can still get out occasionally!
And just when the first cold blast of autumn came, Anna got married to Gary at Dansy’s Pass. Snow flurries and sunshine have made for unforgettable memories.
We are gearing up for winter now and all the indicators are positive for a great snow season. Treble Cone has appointed a new management team and Cardona has nearly finished installing the new lift running from speed straight up next to White Star.
Our new premises on the ground floor opposite Cardona ski field offices on Dunmore Street are getting very positive comments and will be fantastic in winter, with great access for people picking up ski rental gear. If you are heading here in the school holidays do please book your rental equipment if you can as it looks to be a very busy period.

MAINLY TRAMPING HAS MOVED
We've just finished our first week at the new store at 17 Dunmore Street, Wanaka. Come on down and check out the larger, more accessible shop, down at street level, it's an awesome spot!

MAINLY TRAMPING IS MOVING
Our biggest news for 2009 is our move down to street level at 17 Dunmore St, opposite the Cardrona offices on 1 December. This will help people get easier access, especially in winter with parking straight outside the shop and a bus stop 5 metres away.
Also, in conjunction with Ridgeline Adventures we are able to offer an on demand transport service up the Matukituki Valley, giving you easy access to the Rob Roy Glacier walk, Mount Aspiring climbing, Cascade Saddle and Rabbit Pass.
We are also happy to be able to book your adventures while you are in the shop. Currently we act as the booking agent for Skydive Lake Wanaka, U-Fly Wanaka, Wanaka Helicopters, Wanaka Paragliding, Ridgeline Adventures, Wanaka Rock, Wanaka River Journeys and Waiatoto River Safari.
